House Call Questions
What’s included in a House Call?
House Calls are focused, one-on-one sessions designed to help you move forward with clarity in your home. We’ll meet in person (or virtually) to talk through the space you’re working on — whether that’s refining a single room or thinking more holistically.
I’ll bring paint and wallpaper samples where relevant, along with inspiration to guide our conversation. We may discuss color, layout adjustments, furniture placement, styling, lighting, and how to better use what you already own. My role is to offer thoughtful direction and practical ideas you can implement confidently.
You’ll receive a written follow-up summarizing key recommendations so you have a clear plan after our session.
Do you offer full interior design services?
I don’t provide full-scale interior design services or project management. House Calls are consultative — I offer guidance, direction, and expertise to help you make strong decisions, but I don’t manage ordering, installations, contractors, or large-scale renovations.
Can you help with furniture and decor?
Yes — within the scope of a consultation. We can discuss furniture placement, scale, styling, sourcing ideas, and how to better use pieces you already have. I often encourage clients to “shop their homes” first and rethink what’s already available before purchasing new items.
Do I get to keep paint or wallpaper samples?
I bring a curated selection of samples to guide our conversation, but they are not left behind. Any specific recommendations will be included in your written follow-up so you can source them directly.

Do you offer in-person House Calls in my area?
In-person House Calls are available within 20 minutes of South Orange, NJ. If you’re outside that area, please reach out to discuss a virtual session.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. Virtual House Calls are a great option if you’re outside the local area. We’ll meet via Google Meet, and I recommend joining from your phone so you can easily walk me through the space.
What happens after the House Call?
All consultation work takes place during our scheduled session. Afterward, you’ll receive a written summary outlining the ideas and recommendations we discussed. Implementation — including purchasing materials, hiring contractors, or completing any installations — is the client’s responsibility.
What kind of murals do you paint?
I specialize in bold, geometric murals that are tailored to each individual space. While the design style is consistent (my signature geometric approach), the design itself is created on-site during the installation process. This allows me to consider the unique characteristics of the room, including angles and sightlines, which can affect how the mural is placed and how the lines flow.
Can you paint murals in any space?
Yes! I paint murals in residential and commercial spaces. Whether it’s a bold accent wall or a full mural, I’ll work with you to design a piece that complements your room’s aesthetic and adds vibrant personality.
How is the mural design created?
The design for your mural is not pre-designed. I build it on-site after seeing the space in person. This allows me to adapt the design based on factors like room angles, wall texture, and how the space is used. You can explore my portfolio to get an idea of my signature geometric style, and we’ll collaborate on the color palette ahead of time to make sure it suits your space.
Can you paint something other than your signature geometric style?
If you’re looking for something that isn’t represented in my portfolio, you’ll need to reach out to other mural artists that specialize in custom murals that fall in line with what you’re looking for.
What’s your pricing model?
Start by taking a look at the murals page to see past projects. When you’re ready, fill out the contact form and I’ll gather a few details about your wall, location, and what you’re hoping to do. I’ll arrange a site visit and then put together a proposal.
How long does it take to complete a mural?
Typically, murals are installed within 3-5 days, depending on the size and complexity of the design. Factors like the mural’s location in your home or how accessible the room is can impact the timeline. I will provide an estimated time frame after assessing the space.
What do I need to do to prepare for my mural installation?
Before I arrive, you’ll need to fully prep the walls. This includes patching any holes and priming over any very saturated colors. You should also move all furniture out of the area to make sure there’s a clear, open space for me to work. I will cover the floors and any furniture to protect them and minimize any disruptions during installation.
Can I choose the colors for the mural?
Yes! The color palette is chosen through collaboration between you and me ahead of the installation. We’ll work together to find a palette that suits your space and vision for the room.
Can I see examples of your murals?
Yes! You can view my portfolio here, which showcases a variety of murals I’ve created. This will give you a good sense of my geometric style and how it might look in your own space.
Do I need to be present during the installation?
It’s not necessary for you to be there during the installation, but it’s helpful to touch base in person on day one.
What’s included in the price?
The price covers all aspects of the mural project, including the design, paint, materials, and labor. There are no hidden fees.
How do I book a mural project with you?
